What is the root cause of homelessness?

Poverty. On a global scale, poverty is one of the most significant root causes of homelessness. Stagnant wages, unemployment, and high housing and healthcare costs all play into poverty. Being unable to afford essentials like housing, food, education, and more greatly increases a family’s risk.

There are so many organizations that are at work contributing their time, special projects and unique talents to the homeless community because our ultimate vision is to end homelessness and to better our communities.
